Welcome back to Kewaunee’s Amazing Spaces competition blog series! We’re excited to take you on a journey through some of the most innovative and inspiring scientific spaces around the world.

Today, we’re highlighting the Tandon School of Engineering at New York University (NYU). This premier research hub fosters intercommunication among world-class faculty and students dedicated to cutting-edge technology, health science, global climate, and sustainability initiatives.

Project Overview

The Nycom team completed the renovation of two floors within this building. These research spaces provide a modernized, flexible, and adaptable laboratory environment for new incoming groups to harness their research and achieve their goals.

This amazing facility was designed to support the dynamic needs of NYU’s research community. Kewaunee’s Evolution Series Benches, Overhead Service Carriers, and Venturi High-Performance Fume Hoods were a new addition to the facility. The customer specifically requested these products for their ability to adapt to ever-changing spaces, meet heavy utility requirements, and reconfigure to accommodate future research groups.

Project Goals

The primary goals for this project included:

Special Considerations

Kewaunee’s Engineering, Order Entry, and Production teams collaborated exceptionally well on this project to meet its expeditious project schedule. This successful renovation underscores the importance of teamwork and innovation in creating functional and adaptable laboratory spaces.
