Ethics and Diversity

Ethics Policy

Kewaunee Scientific Corporation was founded on good ethics, and to this day, the Company remains totally committed to the highest ethical standards.

Kewaunee’s ethical standards require compliance with the laws of every country in which we do business. However, these standards also go beyond the legal minimum and set forth a higher level of conduct dictated by Kewaunee’s own values and expectations. A Kewaunee Associate is expected not only to comply with all relevant laws but also to act in every respect with honesty, fairness and integrity.

Kewaunee’s Ethics policy is regarded as more than just a set of rules. It is also a statement of beliefs that should guide employees’ conduct in many different situations. You can resolve most ethical questions in your workplace by simply taking time to consider whether, as required by the Kewaunee code, you are acting fairly and honestly toward your fellow Associates, the customers, suppliers, shareholders and general public who rely on our Company.

Kewaunee believes that all persons acting on its behalf should comply with the Company’s ethical standards. Consultants, agents and other representatives of the Company have the same obligation to deal ethically with Kewaunee’s various constituencies as do full-time Associates of the Company. Such persons are expected to become familiar with and to observe the Kewaunee Ethics policy to the same degree as regular Associates.

Diversity at Kewaunee

Diversity at Kewaunee means embracing the differences that exist in all stakeholders, including our Associates, customers, suppliers and communities worldwide. It means more than gender, race, ethnic or national differences, but also includes characteristics such as educational background, age, thinking style, family status, sexual orientation, religion, culture and disability. Diversity contributes to creating a respectful workplace in which each person is empowered, and has the ability to grow and develop, and is recognized for his/her contribution.

Every company has a particular culture that is unique to it. As we learn to value our diversity, we must also remain aware of that which we hold in common. Specifically, the important values of our corporate culture are an important part of our history and tradition. Our common interest and purpose is to manage a successful business enterprise. Seeking to develop and sustain a diverse workforce is a commitment undertaken in order to serve all of our customers, and to maximize the contribution of all of our Associates.

Each of us takes pride in the high standards of conduct and performance that have always identified us as Kewaunee Associates. We resolve together to continue to be a company that will tolerate nothing less than complete honesty, fairness and integrity in our dealings with all the groups that depend on us.
