Kewaunee has been setting the standard for
safety in fume hoods for many years. The experience and dedication
of our people have shaped the skills, methods and facilities that
produce today s standard of excellence in laboratory fume
hoods.
Our Fume Hood Test Facility is located within our Statesville
operations to allow our resident industrial hygienist, product
development staff and manufacturing engineers to continuously
perform extensive tests. We want to assure that Kewaunee s Supreme
Air fume hoods protect the most vital part of any laboratory, the
people who work there.
Computerization assists in the critical analysis of fume hood
functions and performance. Qualitative and quantitative testing is
executed in conformance to industry standards or customer
requirements. Kewaunee Supreme Air Fume Hoods are tested to make
certain they exceed the ASHRAE 110-1995, DIN 12 924, and BS 7258
performance standards.
The facility enables our technicians to operate fume hoods at
different face velocities and observe optimum operating conditions.
We are able to duplicate actual conditions under which your fume
hood will be operating. This enables you to observe the effects of
variations in room temperature and auxiliary air temperature on the
operation of the fume hood being tested. In addition, airflow
patterns can be seen through the use of visible fumes.
As an additional service to promote safety, Kewaunee's Fume Hood
Test Facility is available to architects, engineers and end users
to test the performance of any hood. To make an appointment to
visit Kewaunee, contact your local sales representative. Tours of
our showroom and manufacturing plants can also be arranged.
